Hip-Hop/poet Charlie Scott, 22, born and raised in Queens, NY. Currently majoring in psychology, with a liberal arts minor. He is a recovering addict, child of two hearing impaired parents, and recently released his first mixtape, Lyrical Therapy. Writing poetry since the age of twelve, during his recovery process at a rehabilitation center, the young artist combined his passion for words with rhythmic beats and discovered hip-hop as an outlet to communicate and encourage. Delivering inspiring messages through his outstanding lyrical capability, the young artist is destined for greatness. He offers a refreshing new genre of positive hip-hop, philosophical words, and raw talent, leading various listeners to say, "I dont particularly like rap, but I listen to Charlie Scott.” He recently headlined twice at the legendary, Nuyorican Poets Café, and is producing, as well as performing in a show, Heavy Hitters, with two comedians, a poet and another hip-hop artist. He is set to tour local rehabilitation facilities to carry his strong message of experience, strength and hope, incorporated with sentimental music, completely free of charge because he states, "Addicts are my people, its our job to help each other".
