Many of the great gaming companies that we know and love today once began as small operations with a very limited budget, having to fly by seat of their pants (and merit of their ideas). Nowadays, a lot of people are coming together and forming the same small operations in hope of one day striking it big. This trend of Indie game development is becoming more and more popular. So much, in fact, that some larger companies are stripping down to their bare-bones to keep up with the ever-changing demand of the consumer.
