Scott Wolman, Poet Born and raised Jewish, Bar Mitvahad and a religion minor at Rutgers University, Scott Wolman began to question religion in his early twenties. "My beliefs are such that people can believe whatever they want, as long as they keep it from infringing on anyone else." People are often surprised to hear that he has been rarely influenced by poetry in writing his own. His greatest influences are musicians. John Steinbeck also sneaks in to a couple of pieces. "Mostly, life has touched me and I simply write based on what I feel and see. I view my poetry as a camera in pen form."
